An award winning year for Agro Processors
KARACHI (PR): The year 2013 proved a successful year for Agro Processors and Atmospheric Gases (Pvt.) Ltd. In addition to increasing turnover in the past twelve months, the makers of Soya Supreme Cooking Oil and Banaspati managed to win customers over with innovative products and consistent quality, for which it bagged an array of awards in the prestigious Brand of the Year Awards.  The Cooking Oil Category was won by Soya Supreme Cooking Oil and Banaspati Category was won by Soya Supreme Banaspati.
Apart from these two prizes, the awards ceremony was capped off with Agro Processors and Atmospheric Gases (Pvt.) Ltd. being rewarded for their efforts, as the Emerging Brand of the year went to Smart Canola Cooking Oil. These awards were received by Mr. Hassan Haroon, Assistant Brand Manager,  Altaf Baqai, Regional Sales Manager, and Obaid Raza.

SNGPL climbing team organising training camp

LAHORE (PR): SNGPL Mountaineering & Climbing Team is organising a Training & Climbing Expedition on Falak Sher Peak (5,918 meter) in Swat Valley. Starting the expedition on 15th June (Sunday) from Lahore, the team will push for the summit and aims to become the First Pakistani Expedition to climb the summit.
With 5,918 meters (19,416 ft), Falak Sher is considered as the highest peak of Swat district in the Hindu Kush Mountain Range that replicates the image of K2.
SNGPL Team’s climbing strategy is based on Himalayan Style Expedition, with a full fledge Base Camp at the height of 4075 meters with Camp-I at 4800 meters and Camp-II at the height of 5300 meters.

KMA office-bearers
KARACHI (PR): Elections of Karachi Mathematical Association were held at Sir Syed University of Engineering and Technology. Professor Dr. S. Jawaid Hasan Rizvi and Professor Amirul Haq were elected as President and General Secretary respectively. Professor Dr. Ansar Ahmad Khan and Professor Nasim Akhter were elected as Vice Presidents whereas, Professor Yousuf Hurani and Dr. Fozia Hanif Khan were elected as Treasurer and Joint Secretary respectively.
Furthermore, ten council members were also elected which include Professor Umer Faryaz, Professor Dr. Zakkaullah Khan, Professor Jamil Shaikh, Professor Noman Uddin Khan, Professor Usuf Feroz, Professor Maria Rashid, Professor Rehana Shakeel, Mr. Mohammad Aurangzeb, Professor Muhammad Zafar and Professor Asif Iqbal.

Samsung holds ceremony for dealers 
LAHORE (PR): Samsung Electronics conducted a ceremony to privilege its dealers with first-hand experience of its newly-launched Ultra High Definition Curved TV.  The event was held at the Expo Center, Lahore, where 450 dealers participated across the country.
The ceremony showcased top of the line products produced by the company with the newly launched 1stCurved Ultra High Definition (UHD) television series, taking TV viewing to a whole new level. Samsung’s U9000 Curved UHD TV is the world’s first and largest Curved UHD TV. Mr. John Park, MD Samsung Pakistan attended the ceremony and addressed the gathering.

UMT signs MoU with LCCI

LAHORE (PR): University of Management and Technology UMC, Lahore signed an MoU with LCCI on Thursday. The objective is to bridge the gap between Industry and Academia and to create strong partnership between both organizations for socio-economic and industrial development in Pakistan. Sohail Lashari, President LCCI and Dr. Hasan Sohaib Murad, Rector UMT signed the document.
Addressing the ceremony, President LCCI, Mr Sohail Lashari said that UMT is one of the finest institutions of Lahore.  He said that together we can struggle to boost up the economy of Pakistan and make efforts to utilize the talent. Mr. Kashif Anwar, Vice President LCCI, Abid H K Shirwani, Director General, UMT, Deans and faculty members attended the event.
