He said that they had arrested Fareed Hussain involved in the cyber crime while his accomplices Issa Qureshi and Musa Qureshi managed to escape from the spot.
The DPO said that the accused had confessed to the crime. He added that the recovered sims and equipment were used in the illegal international voice traffic. He said that the accused had been running the illegal exchange for the last six months, which not only caused a loss of millions to the national exchequer but also terrorists were being facilitated for making calls through the exchange because national as well as international calls made through such an exchange were impossible to trace.
City DSP Muhammad Nasrullah Warraich, DSP Organised Crimes Masood Ashar, City SHO Malik Liaquat Ali and other police officers were also present on  the occasion.
