Environment Budget: The Punjab government in budget fiscal year 2016-17 allocated Rs 185m for the environment department. Rs 5m allocated for construction of Model Vertical Shaft Brick kiln in collaboration with Punjab Brick Kiln Association. Rs10m set aside for PC-II for rationalization, revision and development of environment quality standards and Industry specific standards. While, Rs 50m proposed in budget for capacity building of EPA Punjab for enforcement of environmental standards in Punjab. Rs 88m allocated for installing of ambient air quality monitoring stations in 4 cities in Punjab. While under the heads of ongoing schemes, Rs 17m proposed for development of Biodiversity Parks in collaboration with city district governments, district governments and business communities, approved only in Dera Ghazi Khan, Kasur, Bahawalpur and Rawalpindi. 

Tourism: Rs 800m proposed in the budget fiscal 2016-17 for promotion of tourism, cultural heritage d economic growth project. New inititves proposed included, development of Bansara Gali surface parking into eco-friendly Entertainment Park. Rs 20m set aside for renovation and beautification of lake at Kalar Kahar. While in ongoing schemes government allocated Rs 33.730m for Lahore Tourist Bus Service, Rs 45.121m allocated for development of Eco tourism in Soon valley at Khabekhi and Uchali Lake, Khushab.    

Women Development: In comparison to last fiscal year, Government increasing Rs 129m, in fiscal 2016-17 allocated Rs 629m for women development in Punjab. In new imitative, Rs 100m allocated for support for working women hostels, Rs 295m allocated for Women Development Fund, Rs 20m allocated for domestic workers training programme in Bahawalpur, Rawalpindi, Sarghoda,Dera Ghazi Khan, Faisalabad,Gujrawala, Lahore, Multan and Sahiwal.
