Islamabad - Special Investigation Unit of Islamabad police has arrested two members of a motorbike lifting gang and recovered 16 stolen motorcycles and one rickshaw from their possession.

According to police officials, following the directions of senior officers, SP Investigation Islamabad Capt (Retd) Muhammad Ilyas constituted a special team under the supervision of DSP CIA Islamabad which traced out two professional bike lifters. Sixteen motorcycles stolen from Islamabad were recovered from their possession while one rickshaw stolen from Taxila was also recovered.

The recovered motorcycles include one Honda-125, three CD-70, five Hero, three Metro, two Union Star, one Yamaha and one Style motorcycles.  The accused have been identified as Bilal Shah son of Gul Syed Shah, resident of Ziarat Taki Shah, Sangjani Tarnol, presently resident of Mohalla Sadiqabad Rawalpindi, and Imran Ellahi, son of Peer Noor Ellahi, resident of Bosal, Taxila.

During initial investigations, the accused revealed that they had stolen aforesaid motorcycles from the areas of police stations Tarnol, Golra Sharif and Shams Colony. Further investigation of the case is under way.
