LAHORE National Highways and Motorway Police N-5 Central claimed to have arrested 13 criminals involved in different criminal activities and recovered illegal arms, liquor, mobile phone, stolen timber and other valuables and returned the lost cash, luggage, important documents and a lost child during the last few days. The arrested accused were identified as Mushtaq, Asghar, Qasim, Nasir, Shahid, Shaban, Mudassar, Nadeem Bukhari, Sajjad Ali, Manan Yousaf, Waseem, Nadeem and Sarwar. Police have also recovered illegal arms, five mobile phones, valuable timber, cash and other valuables. Similarly, NH&MP returned lost luggage, important documents, Rs 60,000 cash, and 36 bales of cotton to the respective owners and helped 9-year-old Wasif to reunite with his family. Meanwhile, the NH&MP pledged of taking action against the vehicles which use third lane continuously. The action will be taken particularly against the PSVs which were not allowed using third lane. DIG Motorways Dr Muhammad Shafique said that PSVs were allowed to use the second lane only for overtaking. He informed that vehicles below the speed of 100km/h should use first lane as they cause hazards for the vehicles travelling at 120km/h in second lane.
