LAKKI MARWAT - ANP MPA Yasmeen Zia has called upon the people to use their votes in favour of those candidates who had the capability to serve them in a better way. This she said while speaking at a public meeting at Kot Kashmir after unveiling the plaque of foundation laying stone of Khan Abdul Wali Khan Bridge on Tuesday.
Earlier at a briefing C & W executive engineer told that the project had been included in the annual developmental program and it would be completed at the cost of Rs 241.228million within 36 months. He said that approach roads at left and right sides would also be built.
Ms Zia said that people should not believe on hearsays about the postponement of elections. “Provincial and national assemblies will be dissolved at the completion of five years tenure and election will be held on time”, she told.
She said that ANP would not let the polls arena open for other political parties and would seek votes from masses on its five years performance. She went hard on traditional politicians and held them responsible for the backwardness of the district.
“They (area politicians) kept the district far from development and its people deprived from all sorts of amenities”, she maintained. She said that the ANP government completed small and mega uplift schemes worth over Rs two billions in the district to put it on par with other developed parts of the province.
The female lawmaker claimed that work on Kurrum Tangi dam would start soon and it would usher a green revolution in the entire southern districts.
