LAHORE - Jamaat-e-Islami will present a list of those involved in mega corruption scandals before the National Assembly and Supreme Court, and will request for the registration of terrorism cases against the corrupts.

The announcement was made by the party chief Senator Sirajul Haq at a press conference here on Saturday.

The JI chief also blamed the government and PPP for joining hands against the National Accountability Bureau to make it a toothless body. He said that he knew how to cure the cancer of corruption.

“PML-N and PPP have joined hands to make the NAB totally helpless by clipping its powers,” said Sirajul Haq at Mansoora. He earlier addressed a meeting of party workers.

Siraj warned the “plunderers to mend their ways and return the looted money or the people would chase them ever where. He said that the rulers seemed to be anxious to become “martyrs” in order to gain public sympathies once again, but he added that this time the nation won’t allow them to gain this status.

“The JI will also move a draft law against corruption in the parliament. If the rulers tried to oppose this law because of its numeral strength, the masses would take them to accountability by themselves.”

The JI chief said that the plunderers had “Green Cards” in their pockets but they won’t be allowed to leave the country without returning the looted money, and even otherwise the Pakistanis would chase them everywhere.

He added that that the constitution made it obligatory for the state to provide basic facilities of education, health, jobs and shelter to the masses but the rulers were misappropriating public money and transferring that to their bank accounts abroad.

He also criticized the NAB for making plea-bargaining with corrupts.
