LAHORE - A 35-year-old man died after the wall of an under construction house collapsed on him during downpour in Baghbanpura yesterday.
The police identified the victim as Mashooq Ali, a resident of Sadiqabad, district Rahim Yar Khan. The deceased was working at the construction site in Siraj Park when the boundary wall collapsed.
Rescue workers managed to pull out the body from the debris. Later, an Edhi ambulance shifted the body to the Mayo hospital’s morgue. The police informed the victim’s family yesterday evening.
FOUND DEAD: A 25-year-old man was discovered dead from Urdu Bazaar early yesterday. The body was moved to the morgue for an autopsy.
Police said that the man, unidentified so far, was lying dead alongside a footpath as they reached the spot. Some passersby spotted the body and contacted the police by phone. Further investigation was underway.
