On the directions of Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, Punjab Mines, Minerals and Natural Resource Minister Chaudhry Sher Ali visited District Headquarters Hospital here on Saturday. The minister checked the medical facilities being provided to the patients. He went to different wards and inquired from the patients about the medical assistance being provided to them.

DCO Salman Ghani, EDO Health Doctor Masood Tariq, DHQ Hospital MS Madam Shahnaz, AC Mohammad Shah Rukh Niazi, DMS Dr Rizwan Sadiq and other officers were also present on the occasion.

The provincial minister inspected children ward, Hepatitis Ward, Dialysis centre, x-Ray room, Laboratory, store and emergency ward. On the occasion, the hospital MS briefed him in detail and said that steps are being taken to cope with rush of patients.

Speaking on the occasion, the minister said that drastic measures are being taken by for the welfare of people, adding that billion of rupees have been spent to meet these challenges. He said that it is the first and foremost duty of the health officers to provide medical facilities to people at their doorsteps.

He also directed the hospital administration to provide maximum medical facilities to the patients. Subsequently, Provincial Minister for Minerals Sher Ali paid visit to Kasur Land Record Centers and examined performance of the staff. He also inquired about the problems of the farmers and got information about the latest system of computerised land record.
