NPT highlights Objectives Resolution

Lahore - Nazaria-i-Pakistan Trust Chairman Muhammad Rafique Tarar has said that the Objectives Resolution reflected the aspirations of the Pakistan Movement leaders.
He expressed these views in his message to the participants of the special sitting on the “The Objectives Resolution – its Significance, Aims and Objectives”.
He said that it contained the leading principles on which the constitution of Pakistan was to be based. It pinpoints the way to transform Pakistan into a modern, Islamic democratic and welfare state. The sitting was organized by the Nazaria-i-Pakistan Trust and the Pakistan Movement Workers Trust at the Aiwan-i-Karkunan-i-Tehreek-i-Pakistan. Nazaria-i-Pakistan Trust Vice Chairman Prof. Dr. Rafique Ahmad presided over the event, while Chief Justice (r) Khalil-ur-Rehman Khan was the key speaker. The attendees included Prof. Dr. Parveen Khan, Begum Safia Ishaq, Mohtarma Razia Akhter and a large number of students, teachers and people from different walks of life.
Muhammad Rafique Tarar observed that religion cant’s be separated from politics and governance. Young men must be acquainted with the significance, aims and objectives of the Objectives Resolution and its true spirit must be infused in our social, political and economic fields of life.
Chief Justice (r) Khalilur Rehman observed that Pakistan came into being through the materialization of an ideology. This ideology was very much there before the establishment of Pakistan which is different from the other nation-states in that there was no country named Pakistan before August, 1947, but the ideology was ruling supreme.
Prof Dr Rafique Ahmad observed that the Objectives Resolution acquaints us with the real purpose of the creation of Pakistan. It pinpoints the way to achieve the exalted ideals of the entire humanity, as it is based on the teachings of Islam.
Nazaria-i-Pakistan Trust Secretary Shahid Rasheed observed that the Objectives Resolution was approved by the creators of Pakistan. There are some who are trying to obfuscate its aims and objectives. Their attempts are destined to fail. Our rulers and political leaders must ensure its implementation.
