Bedazzling PFDC Fashion Week wraps up

LAHORE-The three-day 11th PFDC Sunsilk Fashion Week wrapped up last night at Expo Centre, leaving us with a plenty of stunning outfit choices bringing to the fashion aficionados the latest buzzing trends and amazing inspirations to follow. The endeavours defined and presented the looks for 2018, focusing especially on fashion for the region’s hot summer months.

The grand finale started with an afternoon voile/lawn grouped show featuring Khas, Rouge, Rang Rasiya and So Kamal in Hall A. This was followed by luxury prét evening showcases featuring a grouped show by Fahad Hussayn and Mona Imran in Hall B, a grouped show featuring Zonia Anwaar and Republic by Omar Farooq in Hall A and a grand finale solo show featuring HSY in Hall B.

Here are some glimpses from Day3 at PSFW18:

Khas

Khas showcased its ‘Premium Collection’ at the Lawn segment. The opulent and majestic collection reflected the brands dedication to the craft and sense of colour and designs. It was all about lawn, chiffon and silk fabrics with modern contemporary cuts, embellishments of pearls, stones and a vibrant colour palette.

Rouge

Rouge showcased its collection titled ‘Fluer Du Spring’. The collection boasted structured yet simple silhouettes on an eclectic colour palette. The vibrant lawn collection included vital range of floral, geometrical patterns with fusion of beautiful and intricate embroideries in stylized and chic cuts.

Rang Rasiya

Featuring retro-chic, yet contemporary silhouettes, Rang Rassiya collection titled ‘Saccharine’ was inspired by a dreamy spring with fusion of peaches, vanilla yellows, rose quartz and lime to go with intricate embroideries and embellishments. The brand design team used the finest quality of fabrics ranging from jacquards, silk, chiffon, net and lawn with cuts that were traditional yet contemporary.

So Kamal

So Kamals Spring Summer collection titled ‘Boho’ came in rich jacquards with self-prints, silks and chiffons draperies and deep rich colour tones. The clothes were a wonderful play between rich fabrics and intricate designs on them.

Fahad Hussayn

Comprising of intricate silk thread embroideries, interlaced with delicate hand work of exquisite craftsmanship on custom nets, organza, tissue, chiffon and other exclusive surfaces, Fahad Hussayn collection titled ‘The Guilded Wastelands’ featured exclusive one-off cuts, hues and designs with majestic detailing that combine the best elements from the world of art, architecture and avant-garde. Supermodel Amna Ilyas sizzled on the ramp as the brand’s celebrity showstopper.

Mona Imran

Mona Imran showcased ‘Ode to Picasso’ collection at Luxury/Prêt segment. The white ensembles fused with the work of iconic visual artist Picasso mesmerized the fashion lovers in the hall.

The collection was inspired from the works of the most influential artist of the first half the twentieth century, Pablo Picasso. The celebrity sister dou of Sarah Khan and Noor Khan graced the ramp as the brands showstoppers.

Zonia Anwaar

Adding more glitz to the event was the young designer Zonia Anwaar, she featured sleek tailored pieces alongside boxy blouses and summer jackets with intricate beading embroidery and Ikat-inspired cold prints and cut-outs. With a colour palette comprising of mikado yellow, autumnal amber, and bright pink hues, trends to look out for this 2018 were summer coats, constructive crop tops, bold prints, notch collars and lots of layering.

Republic by Omar Farooq

Republic’s menswear collection was inspired from the present street style in Tokyo. Republic men’s wear aimed to push the invisible barriers that limit the self expression of Pakistani men and spark a new movement of self acceptance. Omar once again proved that no one can beat him in menswear.

HSY

HSY showcased his collection titled ‘Knight’ that paid accolade to the powerful women not only in his own life but around the world too. Keeping colour palette restricted mainly black and white the line showcased well blazers for men.

Each garment told a beautiful story of style and elegance, as the model glided down the ramp. The collection featured women swear pieces draped in all black sleek silhouettes with delicate ornaments and beadwork in signature HSY style. Award-winning super model Mehreen Syed and mother of HSY walked the ramp as the brands celebrity showstopper.
