KARACHI - A judicial inquiry of 12 May 2007 bloodshed should be conducted, whereas the deepening worst situation in NWFP, Balochistan and other tribal areas must be settled through dialogues and not by use of power. These views were expressed by speakers while addressing a mourning reference for May 12 violence victims. It was organised by Peoples Aman Committee here in Lyari Town office. The gathering was addressed by Yousuf Masti Khan, President of National Labour Party, Uzair Baloch, chairman of Peoples Aman Committee, Malik Ayub Awan, Chairman Panjabi Pakhtoon Ittihad (PPI), Naeem Qureshi, Secretary Karachi Bar Association (KBA), Habib Jan and Qasim Baloch of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), Noor Achakzai of Awami National Party, Shabbir Abu Talib Jamiat Ulema Pakistan (JUP), and few others. Yousuf Masti Khan said that two years have passed since the 12th May incident, but nothing had been probed yet in this regard. He criticised the government for making a bureaucrat as the interior minister of the country who is invigorating the conflicts in the country rather than resolving them. He observed the Balochistan situation should not be linked with Indias intervention and that no external elements were involved there. He said that by saying such would only veil the actual problems of Balochistan. Naeem Qureshi while speaking on the occasion said that Musharaf was responsible for Benazirs assassination and that she was one of the greatest leaders in the history of Pakistani politics. He further said that the 12th May incident should be probed and the involved culprits must be brought to justice. He appealed to the Chief Justice of Pakistan to try the culprits of 12th May incident. On the occasion, Uzair Baloch, Habib Jan and others also addressed the gathering.
