LAHORE - Pakistan Army won the fourth National Junior Cycling Championship with 232 points and Zahid Iqbal of Punjab retained his title. Army won the championship with 232 points, Punjab were declared runners-up with 154 points and Railways were on third place with 86 points. In the team sprint event, Army earned gold, Punjab won silver and Railways got bronze. In 50 km road scratch race, Nadeem Hussain of Army grabbed gold. Zahid Iqbal of Punjab won silver, while Sohail of Railways got bronze. In the elimination race, Zahid Iqbal of Punjab bagged gold, Shahid Imran of Army silver and Sohail of Railways bronze. In the 1000m sprint, Nadeem Hussain of Army clinched gold, Shahid Imran of Army silver and Zahid Iqbal of Punjab bronze. Mian Mujtaba Shuja ur Rehman Punjab Minister of Education was the chief guest at the closing ceremony and distributed prizes, medals, shields and trophies among the winners.
