LAHORE Former Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Qazi Husain Ahmed has said that thief budget makers are putting the entire burden on the poor masses. Addressing a pre-budget seminar at Mansoora on Thursday, he said that the perks and facilities enjoyed by the President, the Prime Minister besides civil and military bureaucracy were not available to the rulers even in the countries donating funds to Pakistan. Qazi Husain Ahmed said that the armed forces of the country consuming sixty per cent of the budget had failed to check the recent foreign attack. He said that agriculture in the country was being destroyed under a conspiracy. Agricultural inputs were very costly and the farmers did not have adequate resources to use these. The foreign powers and multi national companies opposed grant of subsidy on these. Besides, there was shortage of irrigation water.
