DERA GHAZI KHAN - The students of Post Graduate College Dera Ghazi Khan protested against the college administration for carrying operation in the hostel and thrashed some senior teachers and misbehaved with them. The students said that the administration is targeting PSF while the rooms of the rest of the students have not been checked. However, the college authorities said that the operation was carried out against the outsiders without any discrimination and the outsiders would not allow staying in the hostel. On the directions of the principal government Post Graduate College Dera Ghazi Khan Prof Dr Najeeb Ahmed Khan Malghani, a heavy contingent of police carried out operation in the hostel against the outsiders. The operation that was carried out in the mid night created resentment in the students who protested on Thursday. The students gathered at the crush hall of the college and chanted slogans against the police and the college. The students also thrashed some senior teachers and misbehaved with them when they asked the students to end their protest. After the incident heavy contingent of the police reached the college while the local office-bearers of the PPP also came for the dialogue. However after the dialogue among the students, college administration, police and PPP City President Behram Buzdar, it was decided that that the operation against the outsiders would be started to get rooms vacated from them. The students also announced to end the protest and dispersed later on. Police contingent led by DSP city remained in the college premises till evening. The college principal clarified that the operation was not against a particular group but to vacate the hostel from outsiders.
