PESHAWAR – Khyber Pakthunhwa, Chief Minister, Ameer Haider Khan Hoti has strongly condemned bomb attack on police van near Gulbahar Police Station and expressed profound grief over the death of police official.
In a statement here Friday, the Chief Minister said, the terrorists were targeting police jawans to discourage their moral and determination. However he declared in clear terms that war against terror would continue till elimination of the last terrorist. The sacrifices of the police jawans would not let go wasted. The fight against terrorist would continue unabated till routing out the scourge of militancy. The Chief Minister also expressed solidarity with the relatives of the killed cop and injured policemen. He directed the administration of LRH to provide better medical treatment to the injured cops and civilians.  He lauded the courage and spirit of police officials in the line of duty.
Meanwhile, Minister for Information Khyber Pakhtunkhwa  Mian Iftikhar Hussain said on Saturday that come what may people would emerge victorious in war against terror as terrorists could not deter resolve of the police force by resorting to such acts of cowardice against them.
Condemning the bomb attack on police van in Gulbahar area, the Minister warned terrorists of the dire consequences adding the people would be the ultimate winner in fight against terrorism. No matter how much oppression they (terrorists) unleashed against the innocent people, the elimination of terrorists would be the end of this war, he explained.
He paid rich tributes to the police and security forces jawans for their courage and determination in war against terror and today the integrity and security of the country has become stronger due to their sacrifices. The sacrifices of the jawans of the forces have become a golden chapter in the history of the country.
The terrorist are enemies of development and peace and their thinking was limited to their surroundings and they could not be called as human being.
Today’s attack on police van was an effort of the terrorists to demoralize the police jawans, he said adding that “our police and army jawans are ready to offer any sacrifice in the line of duty”.
