LAHORE – Hundreds of teachers under the banner of Punjab Teachers Union took out a protest rally for their demands from Lahore Press Club to Punjab Assembly on Saturday.

The teachers were holding placards and banners inscribed with slogans against the government.

The participants of the rally were also chanting slogans in favour of their demands. On the occasion, teacher leaders including union’s president Allah Bakhash Qaisar, Taj Haider, Allah Rakha Gujar, Adrees Bhatti and others addressed the participants. They demanded the government 100 percent raise in their salaries and revision of grades.
