Young Sino investors to explore JVs


ISLAMABAD - A 100-member delegation of All China Youth Federation visited Islamabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry and exchanged views with Young Entrepreneurs Forum of ICCI for strengthening the bilateral relations between Pakistan and China.
Addressing at the occasion, Deputy Secretary General of All China Youth Federation Mr Wan Xuejun said that Chinese youth has great love and friendship for Pakistan. He said many young industrialists of China have come to Pakistan to explore avenues of partnerships and joint ventures with Pakistani youngsters. He said such exchanges of youth would enhance the love between the both countries.
He said Karakoram Highway, Chashma Nuclear Power Plants, and Taxila Heavy Mechanical Complex were some of the good examples of the strong and brotherly relations between Pakistan and China. He said bilateral trade between the both countries has reached $10 billion and hoped that exchange of such youth delegations would help in further enhancing trade. He said three Chinese volunteers would teach Chinese language to Pakistani students in NUML.
Chairman, ICCI Young Entrepreneurs Forum (YEF), Shaban Khalid said that Pak-China friendship was exemplary in the world and withstood all tests of time. He said China has always provided immediate support to Pakistan in every moment of difficulty, which shows its warm feelings for Pakistan. He said Pakistani entrepreneurs always prefer to learn from their Chinese counterparts.
Shaban said that Pakistan and China have tremendous scope for mutual cooperation in various fields, especially in energy, exploration of mineral resources, telecommunication & infrastructure development. He stressed that it was the right time to promote more interactions between the youth of both countries for sharing business ideas, knowledge, expertise and further strengthening bilateral economic relations.
He also gave a detailed presentation on the activities of ICCI Young Entrepreneurs Forum and said that YEF was playing an active role to serve the causes of the youth in Pakistan. He also desired more collaboration between All China Youth Federation and ICCI Young Entrepreneurs Forum that would help in bringing youth of both countries closer.
Joint Secretary, Ministry of Finance, Muhammad Anwar Sheikh also addressed the meeting and hoped that such direct interactions between the youth of Pakistan and China would lay a strong foundation for promoting lasting friendly relations between the two countries. Acting President of ICCI Shahid Zaman Shinwari also thanked Chinese delegation for visiting the Chamber.
The Chinese delegation sang a song they had prepared to share their feelings of love for Pakistan. The song reflected upon the friendship between the countries, which cannot be weakened by any force.
