PESHAWAR – Deputy Inspector General of Police, Bannu region, Muhammad Nisar Khan Tanoli has stressed on the youth to equip themselves with modern education to cope with the modern day challenges and claimed that a wrong picture of police has been depicted through media in the minds of the countrymen.

He was addressing to the youngsters of Karak youth organization in Bacha Khan school Karak as a chief guest here on Saturday and added that police has rendered exemplary sacrifices in the ongoing war on terror.

He conceded that there was some black sheep in the ranks of the police due to which the entire department has earned a bad name but added in the same breath that quick actions have also been taken against those who found guilty as a result they have faced terminations and suspensions.

The DIG underlined the need that the media should also mention the good deeds of the police and added that only the negative aspect of police should not be highlighted. He said that contrary to army police has no media department to present the real face of the police before the masses.

Mr Tanoli said that there was a lot of talent in the people of district Karak and urged on the young students to focus on their prime duty of study to get a lofty place in the society through hard work. Earlier the President of the KYO Hafiz Hafizullah Khattak presented welcome address to the DIG and informed him about the objectives of the organization. He said that the main objective of the creation of the organization was to provide an environment to the talented youngsters to change the fortune of the society in general and of the country particularly.
