The PML-N has won almost all national and provincial assembly seats in district with a vast majority.
According to unofficial results of May 11 elections, the PML-N candidate Peer Aminul Hasanat defeated PPP candidate Nadeem Afzal Chan in NA-64. The party candidate Barrister Mohsin Shahnawaz Ranjha won NA-65 seat by defeating PML-Q candidate Ghias Ahmed Mela. Similarly PML-N candidate Ch Hamid Hameed won NA-66 Sargodha city by defeating PPP’s Tasneem Ahmed Qureshi, PTI candidate Barrister Abdullah Mumtaz Kahloon and JI candidate Dr Arshad Shahid. In NA-67 PML-N candidate Dr Zulfiquar Bhatti defeated his opponent PML-Q candidate Ch Anwar Ali Cheema. Whereas in NA-68 PML-N President Nawaz Sharif won the election by obtaining 140,546 votes. According to official results, PTI candidate Noor Hayat Kalyar stood at second position with 45,463 votes, PPP candidate Syed Nusrat Ali Shah got 21,395 votes while Muttahida Deeni Mahaz candidate Muhammad Zeeshan bagged 6,580 votes from the constituency. The overall turnout remained 59.96 in NA-68.
Meanwhile PML-N candidate Manazir Ali Ranjha won in PP-31. PML-Q candidate Amir Sultan Cheema won in PP-32. PML-N candidate Abdul Razaaq Dhillon won in PP-33 Sargodha city and PML-N candidate Dr Nadia Aziz won the PP-34 Sargodha Cantt. In PP-35 Independent candidate Faisal Farooq Cheema has won and in PP-36 PML-N candidate Rana Munawar Ghous while in PP-37 PML-N candidate Nizam Uddin Sialvi won.
