Karachi: Sindh government today announced to observe day of mourning in the province tomorrow, after the deadly attack on a bus in Karachi left at least 45 people dead.

Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Memon announced the decision that Sindh government will officially observe day of mourning in the whole province. The Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) also called for Thursday to be a day of mourning, following a deadly attack on Karachi's Ismaili community today.

Public offices will be flying flags at half-mast and a prayer will be said for those killed in the attack. MQM Chief Altaf Hussain requested all businesses, educational institutions and public transportation be suspended on Thursday.

The call for a day of mourning comes after the Sindh government's announcement for the same. At least 43 people were killed and 13 others wounded today when armed men opened fire inside a bus carrying members of the Ismaili community near Safoora Chowk in Karachi.
