Four burnt in rickshaw-bike collision

KASUR - Four persons including a three-year-old girl were burnt and five others sustained burns, three of them critically, when a motorcycle-rickshaw collided with a motorcycle while saving a snake on road near Darbar Sheikh Ilm Din Stop, Chunian here on Tuesday.
As per details, a motorcycle rickshaw was on the way to Ellahabad from Chunian. When it reached near Stop Darbar Sheikh Ilm Din, rickshaw driver identified as Muhammad Bilal attempted to save a snake appeared suddenly on the road.


 In the meantime, he lost control of the rickshaw due to which it collided with a motorcycle coming from the opposite direction. As result a fire erupted in the motorcycle rickshaw due to which ten persons including a minor boy and girl and two women sustained critical burns. However, four of them including three-year-old Fatima, a resident of Rana Town Chunian, rickshaw driver Bilal, Muhammad Ayub and unidentified man succumbed to their burns. Six others including Saima Bibi and Muhammad Mansha, residents of Bair Sohdian, Muhammad Suleman of Atari Karam Singh, Muhammad Ashiq and an unidentified four-year-old child were shifted to THQ Hospital Chunian in critical condition by locals on self-help basis.
Condition of three of the injured is said to be critical.
On the other hand, the police reached the scene after one hour of the gruesome accident.
