ISLAMABAD - The govt and the people of Pakistan on Tuesday expressed their sympathies with the govt of Nepal and the bereaved families and condoled loss of precious lives and properties in another earthquake of 7.3 magnitude that hit Nepal on Tuesday.

"The entire nation of Pakistan is shocked and saddened. Our heart goes out to the victims of this repeat catastrophe which occurred in such a quick succession when our Nepali brethren were still grappling with the April 25th devastating earthquake", Foreign Office spokesperson said in a statement.

He recalled that Pakistan had immediately sent the search and rescue team in the wake of last month's earthquake, alongwith necessary relief assistance, which continues till to date.

The Prime Minister has already made a firm commitment to extend every possible support to the govt and the people of Nepal in their relief and mitigation efforts.
