The Multan Arts Council (MAC) has launched drawing and painting classes to promote fine arts and nurture artistic skills among the youth in this culturally rich region.

The students were being imparted coaching in portraiture, still life, landscaping, life drawing, sketching, use of pencil, water colours, oils, charcoal and pastals, said Kehkashan Kiran, instructor and lecturer at Multan College of Arts, Bahauddin Zakariya University Multan.

Talking to this agency, she said that students could learn painting within one year and earn thousands of rupees through their brush work.

“Arts, paintings provide internal satisfaction, confidence to learners and empower them financially”, she said.

She urged girls to adopt arts as a profession for self-sustenance as there are 100s of art galleries in the countries where one can sell paintings.

Resident Editor MAC, Saleem Qaisar said the Council has offered excellent platform to people, especially kids and youth, to groom their artistic talent.
