Islamabad: Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan held a telephonic contact with Director General of Sindh Rangers Major General Bilal Akbar and discussed the recent deadly incident in Karachi, that left at least 45 people dead today.

According to media reports, the DG Rangers apprised the Interior Minister about the details of firing incident on the bus. During their conversation, Major General Bilal Akbar said that efforts are being made to arrest the culprits behind the incident.

Earlier, unknown assailants riding motorcycles opened fire on a bus in Gulistan-e-Johar area of the metropolis, killing at least 45 people dead including 16 women, while injuring several others.
