Islamabad: Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah announced compensation for victims of bus attack in Karachi today. The CM, while speaking to reporters in Islamabad, announced compensation of Rs.0.5 million to family members of each deceased and Rs.0.2 million to each injured person. Pledging to bring the culprits to book, Qaim Ali Shah said that two senior police officials – a DSP and SHO Sachal police station – have been suspended following the deadly attack on Ismaili community bus that left 43 people dead and over 15 injured in Karachi’s Safoora area.

He said the attack on the bus at Safora Chorangi looks to be a pre planned act and it is premature to say which action this incident is a reaction to

“We will establish peace in Karachi at every cost. We will not keep mum  over this incident. We are trying to ascertain the incident has occurred due to negligence of whom”, he added.
