Islamabad: Senate today passed a unanimous resolution condemning the inhuman and brutal firing which left at least 45 dead.

The resolution was moved by Karim Khawaja. The resolution strongly condemned the killing of innocent people in Karachi city. "The Senate expresses grief and sorrow over the loss of lives in the terrorism incident and expressed sympathies with the victims' families," the resolution said.

Meanwhile, Senate members offered Fateha for the departed souls of 45 innocent passengers, who were killed in a firing incident by the terrorists on a bus in Karachi.

Maulana Attaur Rehman led the Fateha. Deputy Chairman Senate, Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri, who was presiding the session, strongly condemned brutal murder of passengers in Karachi.

At least 45 members of Ismaili community were killed when gunmen opened fire on their bus in Safoora Chowk area of Karachi. Six terrorists came on three motorcycles, entered the bus and began firing indiscriminately. They used 9mm pistols and all those killed and injured were hit by the 9mm pistols, police said.
