ISLAMABAD - Pakistan People’s Party chief Bilawal Bhutto Zardari yesterday said that tsunami of incompetency was playing havoc with country.

He said claims of Prime Minister Imran Khan regarding changing Pakistan had proven disastrous by time as the country is on the verge of complete destruction due to economic catastrophe.

Commenting on the country’s situation, he said that levelling false accusations on country’s political leadership regarding money laundering and corruption have never been proved in any court of law and the sheer manifest of his sick mentality has pushed the country to the wall.

“By making false allegations of money laundering and corruption for political revenge, the country is facing the challenges of being blacklisted. Instead, the PM and his cronies are breaking record of corruption,” he added.

Bilawal said that it was a matter of utmost shame that owing to policy of revenge, flawed plans for the country and complete ineptitude, Pakistan could not be taken out of the grey list of the FATF like world’s poorest countries such as Cambodia, Ghana and Zimbabwe.

The PPP Chairman said that the PPP-led Federal government in the past had secured the status of GSP Plus from the European Union for economic benefits to the country but sadly, Imran Khan’s entire campaign proved a deadly fraud against the nation and his incompetency has put the country’s future at stake. “Fraudulent slogans of accountability have fully been exposed as baseless and the PM can no more dupe the people of the country,” he added.

Addressing PM Khan, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari asked him to explain to the nation as how much money he brought back to the national exchequer during his 997-day long misrule till date after he continuously leveled accusation on others for minting 12 billion from corruption. “Only the PPP has been on the ground with a sound demand for the true implementation of the National Action Plan. However, the PTI regime failed to implement that Plan and thus the country embraced devastating impacts on the economy,” he remarked.

The PPP Chairman warned that the Tsunami of inflation, poverty and dying economy could never be restored to normalcy through just a phone call drama the PM has repeated to the nation. “The PM, his cabinet, and his entire government is solely responsible for the havocking impacts on the people’s deprivation of all necessary rights,” he said.

Meanwhile, Secretary Information PPP Parliamentarians, Shazia Atta Marri said that the PTI government’s spokespersons should control their tongues and focus on their performance.

In a statement she said that the government spokespersons should refrain from vicious attempts to target 18th amendment in defense of their incompetence. Is the PPP or the Sindh government responsible for bringing the annual inflation rate to 14% in the country, questioned Shazia Marri. She said that it is but natural that the inflation will break records when government officials continue to patronize hoarders.

The price hike has gone up and the poultry is being sold for more than Rs 400 per kg. This change of Imran Khan has wreaked havoc on the streets all over Pakistan. In just one year, the rise in electricity bills by 29% has made life difficult for the common man. Imran Khan is going around the world with begging bowl in his hands. History will write that an agricultural country took rice in charity from a country where rice is not cultivated at all. The PTI government has squandered billions of dollars in corruption and today every Pakistani is indebted to the tune of Rs. 2 lacs approximately.

Separately, PPP Vice President Sherry Rehman said following the import of oil and sugar, the government has procured 440 tonnes of rice bags from Saudi Arabia under the Zakat-ul-Fitr scheme.

“Why are we relying on food imports and aid to meet local demand? Where do we stand in agriculture today? This government has destroyed our agricultural economy,” she said.
