Ban on pillion riding

Government of Sindh has once again imposed ban on pillion riding for 17 days in Karachi, Hyderabad and Khairpur on the pretext of maintaining law and order situation during the month of Muharram. This ban will only add misery to the life of common man and we all know that killings will continue in Karachi as usual and Sindh government will not hold anyone responsible for the loss of innocent lives.
As our Supreme Court said in one of its recent judgments that no one is allowed to take, obey or act on unofficial orders of their superiors. To cover up their poor performance, Sindh government and police have been using this tactic of imposing ban on pillion riding with zero percent success. I think it is high time the Supreme Court took notice of this ban which is frequently imposed and order the Sindh government that if the situation does not improve in 17 days, this ban should be termed as the last ban. Such ban does not improve the law and order situation but definitely brings lot of money into the pockets of our policemen.
