KARACHI - Famous for changing political loyalties, former provincial minister Sardar Manzoor Panhwar of Jacobabad on Tuesday announced to say goodbye to the PML-N and joined the ruling PPP.

He called on with MNA Faryal Talpur, who is the sister of PPP’s co-chairman President Asif Ali Zardari, and announced joining the PPP. Panhwar has history of changing political loyalties since 1988. He has been changing the parties since 90’s but in recent future when Sardar Panhwar was first elected as Sindh Assembly MPA in 2002 elections on PPP ticket during Musharraf regime. After taking oath, he along with others switched his loyalty and had joined the treasury benches. With other fellows from the party, Panhwar joined the PPP-Patriot group led by Makhdoom Faisal Saleh Hayat and Rao Sikandar Iqbal. In return of his support, he got the provincial ministry in the regime of the then Chief Minister Sardar Ali Khan Mahar and later in the cabinet of CM Dr Arbab Ghulam Rahim.

With the course of time, Panhwar along with other colleagues joined the PML-Q of Chaudhry Shujaat but he lost in the 2008 general elections. Later, he joined the PML-F of Pir Pagara, however, he remained silent and did not get himself indulged in active politics.  With the return of Nawaz Sharif from exile and his party emerged the winner in the political arena of the country, Panhwar quitted the PML-F and sat in the boat of the PML-N in Sindh.

With little expectations and lukewarm response from the PML-N in Sindh, he again started contacting the influential personalities to join the PPP.
