LAHORE - Shahid Nawaz’s superb bowling helped Lahore Eagles bowl out Karachi Zebras for 257 runs and in reply scored 11 runs for no loss at the end of the first day’s play of the Haier-sponsored Quaid-e-Azam Trophy Silver sixth round Group-I match here at the LCCA cricket ground Wednesday.

Lahore Eagles won the toss and asked Karachi Zebras to bat first. The decision proved very beneficial for them as they bowled out Zebras for 257 in 79.4 overs. Naved Khan (42), Jahangir Shah (44), Zeeshan Jamil (49), Ahmed Iqbal (28) and Owais Rehmani (30) batted well for Zebras. Shahid Nawaz was the hero of Eagles as he clinched five wickets for 45 runs while M Waheed took two wickets for 30 runs.

In reply, Lahore Eagles managed to score 11 runs without losing a wicket in fours overs.
