GUJRANWALA : The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) sealed a local bubble gum factory and fined its owner over manufacturing substandard chocolate, candies and bubble gums here on Saturday.

According to PFA sources, a team of the authority conducted a raid on Jojo Bubble Gum factory. Upon inspection, the officials found substandard material being used for manufacturing different food items. The PFA team seized the substandard material being used in various items and sealed the unit. The officials also fined the owner Rs0.5 million.

MAN CRUSHED TO DEATH: An elderly man was killed in a road accident in Kot Ishaq here. According to police, a speeding tractor crushed an elderly man when he was crossing the road. The identity of the deceased is yet to be known.

 The dead body has been sent to the morgue for identification and the police have registered a case.
