LAHORE - PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari yesterday expressed his concern over the recent political happenings in Karachi, as he termed the situation strange and ridiculous.

“A strange [political] game is going in Karachi these days”, he said while talking to the media after attending a ceremony held to mark the first death anniversary of PPP leader late Jahangir Badr at Ali Town, Thokar Niaz Baig.

He said that PPP will give a better leadership to the people of Karachi who deserved better than what is being offered to them at the moment.

Bilawal called PTI chief Imran Khan a puppet in the hands of string pullers. “This puppet will also meet its fate like other puppets of Karachi”, he remarked. Nonetheless, the PPP leader said that Imran Khan had every right to do politics anywhere in the country including Karachi.

To a question about Nawaz Sharif, he said that PML-N chief was trying to save himself by complicating the Panama matter bringing in his personal enmity against the institutions. He, however, said that people were intelligent enough not to believe his words.

He hoped justice will be done in cases pertaining to Hudabia Papers Mills and Model Town killings case.

Paying tributes to the late Jahangir Badar, the PPP Chairman said that he was a symbol of struggle against the tyranny. “Jahangir Badar was among the few political workers who stick to their ideology till last”, he said, adding, that he did not change himself in his political journey from a political worker to becoming a Minister.

Also, Bilawal Bhutto had a meeting with senior party leaders in Lahore and consulted them on present political situation. Bilawal told party men that PPP was still committed to its old ideology and wanted supremacy of the Constitution, democracy and Parliament. He also reiterated that PPP will not accept any undemocratic move.
