LAHORE - Pakistan’s Abdullah Adnan and Abhishek Thorat of USA squeezed into the final of the ITF Pakistan, NBP-PTF International Juniors Tennis Championships continued at PTF Tennis Complex Islamabad. In the boys’ singles semifinals, Abdullah Adnan beat top seed Aarav Samrat Hada (NEP) 7-5, 6-0. The first set between Abdullah and Aarav was a see-saw battle, which saw both players play some exciting tennis. Although the second set score suggests otherwise, Aarav fought hard till the last point, but Abdullah held his nerve to finish off the match. In the second semifinal, Abhishek Thorat (USA) beat Yunes Talawar (IRI) by 6-1, 6-3. The boys doubles title was clinched by Ahmet Atabay (TUR) and Yunes Takawar (IRI), who had to struggle hard to beat Aarav Samrat Hada (NEP) and Aki Zuben Rawat (NEP) 6-0,3-6 (11-9). The girls doubles title was won by Abhilasha Bista (NEP) and Goetz Taylor (USA), who outsmarted Daria Stefania Malaescu (ROU) and Sharvani Shrestha (NEP) 6-1, 6-2. Today (Saturday), the girls singles final will be played at 10:00 am and boys singles final at 2:00 pm.
