ISLAMABAD - As many as nine matches have been decided on Sunday in the qualifying round of the ITF Pakistan Futures International Tennis Championships 2008, here at PTF Tennis Complex. Local trio Aftab Anwar, M. Abid Ali Khan and Usman Ejaz advanced into the final round of qualifying by beating their respective opponents. The best encounter of the day was played between Pulkit Mishra of India and Rutger Cramer of the Netherland. The match lasted more then two hours. Both the players displayed quality tennis. Sang-Gyan Kim of Korea struggled hard to win his encounter against Vikas Chuhan of India in another good match of the day. Abid Ali Khan of Pakistan beat Xhung Hyo Woo of Korea in straight sets. Usman Ejaz beat compatriot Taimoor Mahmood in a close contest in straight sets. Final round of the qualifying matches will be played on Monday (today) at the same venue.
