Our Staff reporter GUJRANWALA - Gujranwala Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Malik Zaheerul Haq has demanded the Sui Northern Gas Pipeline Company (SNGPL) the restoration of gas supply to industrial sector with full pressure otherwise businessmen community will be compelled to take to roads to stop discrimination against Gujranwala. He was addressing the participants of a sit-in staged by Gujranwala Chamber of Commerce and Industry on GT Road to record their protest against suspension of gas supply to industries. The sit-in continued for two hours and a large number of industrialists, trade organisations participated in it. On the occasion, the businessmen community said that despite scheduled loadshedding of gas in the region, the SNGPL had failed to supply gas at contracted pressure which had been causing problems for the manufacturing sector and tens of thousands of labourers were suffering due to the "criminal" negligence. The GCCI President added that if their just demand was not met without further delay, the GCCI and thousands of labourers would protest at SNGPL offices. He also warned that the protests could proved to be repetition of October 3 agitation against power outages.
