OUR STAFF REPORTER SADIQABAD - The Rahim Yar Khan Chamber of Commerce and Industries president said that an all-out effort was being made for inauguration of flights of PIA and other private companies from Sheikh Zayed Airport of Rahim Yar Khan. Earlier, Shaheen Air International Regional Director M A Saqlain said that his company was devising a strategy to launch Abu Zhabi and Dubai flights from the Airport soon. "For this purpose, the air company's survey team will visit the district soon," the director, in accompanied by Senior Manager Services Sabzah Ali, said during his meeting with RYKCCI President Muzaffar Salim at the Chamber's Secretariat. Mr Saqlain said that if the survey team recommended these flights from the district, the company would immediately act upon the recommendation. On the occasion, the RYKCCI president told the company director that Rahim Yar Khan was an important district of the country regarding trade, business and industrial activities. A number of people travel from the district to Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad and other countries by aeroplane daily, he said. "If Shaheen Air starts Lahore and Karachi flights daily and Dubai and Abu Dhabi flights once a week from the Airport, not only the locals would enjoy well-off travel facility but also the company would derive a lot of financial benefits," he said.
