OUR STAFF REPORTER SIALKOT - Opposition Leader in Senate and JUI-F leader Mualana Abdul Ghafoor Haidari has said that the Nizam-e-Mustafa has not yet been promulgated in the country due to the mounted difference in religious parties and incumbent rulers. Therefore, he said, no democratic system or any Islamic system could ever be run in the country, pushing the country in several inner and outer dangers. He stated this while addressing a meeting of the Pasrur Bar Association. He said that the amicable solution to all the problems, being confronted by Pakistan and the Muslim Ummah lies in the early promulgation of Nizam-e-Mustafa in the country. He urged Ulema belonging to all schools of thought to shun their differences and be united for curbing the menace of international anti-Islam and anti-Pakistan conspiracies. Mualana Haidari said that the JUI-F had ever done the politics of the principles due to which the JUI-F was sitting on the opposition benches. Addressing a press conference at Daska, he said that the provision of easy and early justice was vital for establishing durable peace in the country. He strongly criticized the government for trying to stable the dooming national economy with the help of the heavy foreign loans, instead of making some effective and positive efforts to hold up the devaluation of Pakistani rupee. He said that the time was ripe for the incumbent rulers to break the begging bowl and bring maximum foreign investment flow in the country. He alleged that the incumbent rulers were plundering the national exchequer by leaps and bounds. He said that majority of the parliamentarians sitting in the parliaments were 'killers and dacoits'. Refinance rate must be reduced: SCCI President Naeem Anwar Qureshi has lauded the decision of reducing the rate of interest to 1.5 percent on loans by SBP and termed it a right step in a right direction. Talking to media people here on Tuesday evening, he said this move of State Bank would not only help accelerate trade and commerce activities but also supportive in promotion of investment in the country. The decision will also help in restoring the confidence of domestic and foreign investors and still there was a great need of taking drastic steps for the promotion of export," he said. Mr Naeem said that Sialkot is only export city of the country and earning $1.25 billion through its export and playing an instrumental role in strengthening the national economy. It was too difficult for the exporters to compete their competitors because the cost of production has been increased manifolds due to rapid inflation, the rising tariff of utility bills and raw material," he said. The SCCI President said that export refinance is vital for the promotion of exports of the country and there was dire need for bringing down rate of refinance to single digit to support the export industry and to increase the volume of exports. The SCCI President appealed to the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) to take immediate steps for reducing the rate of refinance to single digit to facilitate the export industry and enhance export volume manifolds.
