RAWALPINDI - PAF and Navy played out a tame goalless draw in the eighth PPL tie played at the Municipal Football Stadium here on Wednesday. Both the teams missed numerous scoring opportunities PAF was the favourite for this match but the PAF lads disappointed the huge gathering of spectators who came to witness the match. PAF started the match in a very positive mood but all of their attacks but Navy defence spoiled their efforts as goalkeeper played brilliantly and saved PAF forwards scoring chances. PAF dominated proceedings in the first half and Navy defence spoiled a lot of goal chances. Navy goalkeeper M Ishaq was at his best during the match in the net and he stopped four tries of. PAF change their strategy and started playing with three strikers to break the deadlock and this combination was proving too hot to handle for the Navy. The seamen were finding it too difficult to handle three strikers. Mujahid could have provided the much needed goal to PAF had diving Ishaq not pulled of a sensation save to deny PAF a much deserving lead and match ended in a tame-less draw.
