islamabad - As many as 2,684 members of the Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) will elect their president on October 31 for the year of 2014-15.

A final schedule has been issued by the office of the Supreme Court Bar Association in this regard, according to office secretary SCBA Raja Muhammad Ashfaaq.

According to the list of the members finalised by the Supreme Court Bar Association office, around 2,684 members will exercise their right of vote to elect their president, four vice presidents (one from each province), general secretary SCBA, finance secretary and one additional secretary, besides members of executive committees from all the four provinces.

According to the issued list by the SCBA, out of total votes around 1,186 members are from Lahore, 426 from Sindh, 403 from Islamabad/ Rawalpindi, 252 from Khyber Pakhtunkhaw, 180 from Multan, 155 from Balochistan and 82 members are from Bahawalpur. Moreover, a total of fourteen executive members of the SCBA will also be elected including two from each province on compulsory basis whereas the remaining six would be elected on merit without a bar of provincial quota. Chaudhry Afrasiab has been made chairman election board/returning officer.
