The TMA staff is busy stuffing their pockets but the Colony No3 has been converted into a sewerage bond and the residents especially students and those going to mosques for performing prayers facing lots of difficulties.

The residents of the area have demanded that the Khanewal administration should take strict disciplinary action against the negligent staff and for the redressal of their grievances. They said that the staff had deliberately made water pumps installed for disposal of sewage water dysfunctional.

As a result, the water is accumulated at streets and bazaars of the area, they said and added that the sewage causes suffocation and spread of various diseases like malaria and dengue.

They alleged that sewage water was sold to to a landlord for irrigation of vegetable. Advocate Iftikhar Shahi filed a petition against TMA staff in the court of senior civil judge Khanewal and to the chief minister of Punjab for strict action.
