California (MOL):A decade on since Nicole Kidman turned perfume into a cinematic love affair, Chanel has found a new muse. Gisele Bundchen revealed a first look at her recreating a scene from the actress’ stunning short movie No. 5 The Film on Saturday. Just like Nicole did in 2004, the 34-year-old reclines in giant lighted sign for the brand’s iconic scent. Posting the image on Instagram the model said: ‘Honoured to be the face of CHANEL Nº5. What an amazing experience it was to work with film director @BazLuhrmann and @CHANELofficial team. #theonethatiwant.’ Australian Director Baz Luhrmann also filmed the original Chanel campaign, which was promoted through the world like a feature film and not an extended advertisement and boasted a budget of $42 million. In the original, Nicole finds Rodrigo Santoroin the streets of New York in a time past, while Gisele’s campaign has appears to be set in modern day. In the Victoria Secret star’s campaign she reclines in a No. 5 instead of the classic CC logo and, in a shot posted on her Instagram earlier in the week, Gisele hits the beach in a Chanel wetsuit while carrying a surfboard also by the label. The catwalk star was first named the face of Chanel No. 5 in May and started shooting the campaign with Baz that same month.

Gisele was chosen by Chanel for her ‘natural beauty and modern femininity’ and now will join the long list of icons that have represented the perfume including Lauren Hutton, Catherine Deneuve, Audrey Tautou, and Brad Pitt.
