KOT RADHA KISHAN - Correspondent of Daily Nawa-i-Waqt and guardian of Press Club Kot Radha Kishan, Khadim Hussain Shad was laid to rest in the presence of a large number of admirers here on Sunday.
Mr Shad, who had been associated with Nawa-i-Waqt for 40 years, had died after protracted illness on Saturday.
His funeral was attended by a large number of people including political leaders, businessmen and journalists. Prominent among those who attended the funeral included former MNA and PPP divisional President Ch Manzoor Ahmed, former MPA Malik Akhtar Hussain Noul, PPP District Kasur President Jamil Ahmad Kals, Nasir Kamal Bhatti, Haji Muhammad Aslam, Ayub Bhatti, PML-N City President Zafar Ullah Chohan, General Secretary Rao Muhammad Yousaf, former city nazim Rao Shamshad, Ch Muhammad Ali, Ch Khalid Hussain, Ilyas Sindhu, Mian Rauf Ahmed, Sardar Amjad Tufail, Sardar Nabi Ahmad, PTI leader Hassan Ali Khan, regional journalists including Sardar Azhar Sultan, Arshad Munir Ch, Malik Abdul Aziz, Haji Muhammad Ansari, Javed Baqir, Sheikh Tariq Mehmood, Sheikh Tariq Sajjad, Khalid Qureshi, Mazhir Qureshi, Haji Abdul Qadir, Abdul Raheem, Saleem Faridi, Haji Muhammad Ramzan, Noor Ahmad Dogar, Jamaat-e-Islami leader Haji Muhammad Younus, Maulana Muhammad Irshad amd JUP leader Mufti Muhammad Anwar Hanfi.
On the occasion, the deceased was paid glowing tribute for his matchless services to journalism.
