Petition seeks registration of treason case against Imran and Qadri

Lahore- Justice Shams Mehmood Mirza of Lahore High Court (LHC) has sent the petition seeking registration of treason case against Tahir ul Qadri and Imran Khan to chief justice with recommendation for constitution of full bench to hear the case.
The petitioner AK Dogar, advocate argued Imran Khan and Tahir ul Qadri breached the court’s orders, took the law into their hands and they not only staged dharna but also they are driving the country to anarchy persistently. Imran Khan and Tahir ul Qadri are out to derail the country from democracy and are fomenting turmoil in the country. It is a blatant violation of constitution of Pakistan, he contended. He asked the court to issue orders for registration of treason case under article 6 of the constitution against Imran Khan and Tahir ul Qadri for deviating from the constitution and breaching the law. The court while sending the case to chief justice has recommended the constitution of a full bench.
