ISLAMABAD - President Mamnoon Hussain on Sunday visited Armed Forces Institute of Ophthalmology to see and inquire about the health of those who have been injured during the ongoing war against militants.

The President met the injured soldiers as well as civilian patients and inquired about their health and well being.

He paid rich tributes to the armed forces and lauded the courage, patriotism and professionalism of the personnel of the armed forces who were fighting against extremist elements in order to rid our homeland of the scourge of militancy and terrorism.

While lauding invaluable sacrifices of the armed forces, law-enforcing agencies and the entire nation, the President said that our sacrifices will never go in vain and we are destined to succeed. On the occasion, the President was briefed about the facilities available and the care being provided to the patients at the hospital.
