ISLAMABAD  - Rawalpindi Rams moved into the semifinals of the Inter-Region U-19 One-Day Tournament 2014/15, after defeating Faisalabad Wolves by 40 runs in the quarterfinal played here at National Cricket Ground Sunday.

Faisalabad Wolves skipper after winning the toss opted to bowl first. Rawalpindi took full advantage and posted a decent 260-8 in 50 overs. Aamir Sohail made classic 56, Shadab 50 and Nouman Ali an unbeaten 40. Ahmed and Mudassar took two wickets each.

Despite a superb 100 by Shafaqat Ullah, Faisalabad were bowled out for 220 in 45.5 overs. Asghar made 42. Jamil Abbas was the pick of the bowlers grabbing 4 for 58. Naqi Raza took 3 for 32 and Mir Waiz also chipped in with 2 for 2.

At Mirpur Stadium, Karachi Dolphins hammered Peshawar Panthers by 85 runs. Karachi won the toss and opted to bat first and posted a mammoth 308-6 in 50 overs. Saud Shakeel blasted 134 runs while Noor Wali remained unbeaten at 83, Umar took 2 for 63. Peshawar were bundled out for 223 in 48.3 overs. Zawan made 74; Saif took 3 for 42 and Asghar 2 for 33.
