Central Asian States want linking with CPEC

ISLAMABAD:- President Mamnoon Hussain said yesterday that the Central Asian States have expressed their keenness to link themselves with China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) as these states are also desirous of benefiting from the corridor. The president said this while addressing the inaugural ceremony of Medibank Trust here at the Aiwan-e-Sadr, Islamabad. He said entire region will benefit from the CPEC project.–STAFF REPORTER
He said that CPEC is a national project and it will bring development and prosperity in the country. He said work is going on different parts of this mega project and assured that no changes are being made in its routes.
Mamnoon Hussain said that inaugurating a project aimed at providing medicines to low income people is a matter of pleasure for him. He said that network of the bank has been expanded up to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa after Islamabad.
In her remarks, Minister of State for National Health Services Saira Afzal Tarar expressed government’s support for Medibank initiative. She said the government is giving importance to provide better healthcare facilities to the deprived segments of the society. She said the Prime Minister’s health insurance scheme is on the cards for the poorest of the poor.
