Rawalpindi - Police have beefed up the security around an Imambargah in Gulshan-e-Shimaal area of the garrison city, besides providing an armed security guard to the organiser of the worship place, after the Imambargah received threats.

However, no case was lodged against the unknown culprits despite an application was lodged by the organiser of the Imambargah.

Talking to The Nation, Yar Muhammad, the station house officer of police station Saddar Bairooni, said the police have enhanced security of the Imambargah after unknown culprits hung a shopping bag with the outer grill of the imambargah containing pieces of coffin cloth mentioning threats to the Shiite sect.
