Pakistan football team striker Shahlyla Baloch dies in Karachi car crash

KARACHI: Pakistan women's football team striker Shahlyla Ahmadzai Baloch died in a car crash in Karachi late Wednesday night.

Initial reports suggest the deceased was in the passenger seat at the time of the accident.

Baloch was also a striker on the Balochistan women's football team.

Dubbed as the first female to score a hat-trick at the international level, she was a mere 20 years old at the time of her demise.

Her death has left many in shock, as people pour in to Twitter to express their grief.



Her body was taken to Kalat for burial.
