Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry has claimed on Saturday that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) is facing an uncertain political future.
The minister said that the Sharif family faced problems as the lawmakers within the party did not have the same point of view. Fawad also took a jibe at Pakistan’s second biggest party, saying that PML-N was not used to transparent polls so it’s quite obvious why they are upset.
He further said that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government was forced to approach the IMF for loans within 40 days of its tenure as the previous government left Pakistan’s economy in a terrible condition. “We have to return $8billion this year,” he said.
Fawad Chaudhry said that the PTI would not only win its vacated seats, but will also secure other seats as the masses stand with the party. The minister further added that PTI would complete its promise of constructing 0.5 million houses, and will prove its critics wrong as it did by winning the general elections.
He said that the bureaucracy has to respect the elected representatives. “We are in a democracy. It’s very important that the elected representatives are respected. Bureaucracy has to accept our directions,” he added.
He also promised that the government would ‘take down’ all those corrupt people who left Pakistan in a dire state. “We won't leave those who looted us,” he said.
